This post represents an excellent opportunity for someone with strategic vision, strong and influential leadership abilities, and sound operational management abilities to ensure the delivery of HSCP objectives in conjunction with the wider HSCP senior management team. This role has responsibility for both the strategic development and delivery of services in respect of adults with mental illness, addiction and homelessness provided by both the NHSGGC and Inverclyde Council. It oversees the development and management of a fully integrated health and social care service, including accountability for statutory functions, resources and employment issues and challenging health and social inequalities within the local population. Corporate awareness allied to in-depth experience at operational management level is essential, as is a talent for team building, partnership working, negotiating, budget and performance management skills and strong planning ability. You should be educated to master’s degree level or equivalent and must be able to demonstrate integrity, effective leadership and management skills as well as evidence of successful delivery of service redesign, financial management and tackling inequalities. Highly developed skills in policy development, planning, performance management and monitoring and evaluation techniques are essential as well as evidence of developing and managing effective partnerships. The shift pattern for this post is Monday – Friday (with flexibility required).

This is a Secondment Opportunity for 6 to 12 months.
