The West Midlands South School Foundation School is inviting applications for a Foundation Training Programme Director at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust
Health Education England is looking to appoint two F1 Foundation Training Programme Directors one based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital and one based at Alexandra Hospital, Redditch.
Each post attracts 1 PA (0.5 HEE funded and 0.5 Trust Funded) HEE funding will be reimbursed to the successful candidate’s employing Trust at £10,000 (pro rata) and it is anticipated that some additional SPA time will be required.
The Foundation Programme has approximately 1,300 trainees across the West Midlands and the post would be an ideal opportunity for an experienced educational supervisor aiming to further develop their educational portfolio.
It is expected that Foundation Training Programme Directors continue in clinical practice while fulfilling the role. The posts will be offered for 3 years in the first instance with satisfactory annual appraisal, with the option of extending for a further 3 years if mutually agreed.
The successful applicant will work closely with the Clinical Tutor, Foundation School Director, Postgraduate Dean and the Faculty Support Team to produce doctors who will strive for the highest standards of patient-centered care and commit themselves to a lifetime of professional development.
