Commercial Finance Business Partner

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are exclusively partnering with our client, a Bristol based business, in their recruitment of a Finance Business Partner on a permanent contract. This critical role is highly operational so you will be expected to partner with, and challenge, multiple non finance stakeholders to really make a difference and drive business growth plans. We're looking for someone who's curious, driven and who has an excellent attention to detail. This is a very varied role and will encompass everything from reporting through to decision support & modelling, so a rounded skillset is needed - someone who is strong technically but can also be highly commercial in their approach and be able to understand business drivers and apply this knowledge through a finance lens. The salary on offer is up to £60,000 + benefits (experience dependant) part remote working can be discussed, making it accessible to those in neighbouring cities of Bath, Gloucester, Newport & Swindon.

Responsibilities:

Act as a key liaison between operations & finance - advise & challenge to influence decision making and improve business performance Profitability analysis and review, benchmarking data top identify areas where value can be added - creating action plans, savings assessments, cost improvement projects Decision modelling for operational decisions with a focus on efficiency, influencing change through data driven insight Capital & investment decision modelling Reporting to monthly close deadlines - review of P&Ls including variance analysis, commentary & insight on results Preparation & presentation of monthly reporting Ownership of annual business planning & quarterly forecasting process - providing forward looking insight and analysis - identifying risks & opportunities and forecasting of any changes to business plan assumptions Develop and drive process improvements to gain better visibility of financial performance Ensure compliance of the risk and control framework Partner with operations in pricing - be the finance contact to ensure profitability

About You:

Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CA) with 3 - 8 approx years PQE Be highly commercial, ambitious and driven Advanced on Excel - business modelling Prior proven experience of partnering outside of finance Have a proven career of progression
