Your new firm
A sole practitioner based in Ellesmere Port is looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their small but friendly team of accountants. This well established team provide a range of compliance and outsourcing services to local clients under the audit threshold and across a range of sectors. This role has arisen following an increase in workload and new client wins the partner will consider both full time or part time hours with a minimum of 20 hours a week.
Your new role
As an Accounts Clerk you will be responsible for preparing accounts from incomplete records and Excel spreadsheets for limited companies and sole traders along with the relevant CT600s and self assessment tax returns. The firm work a 35 hour week but will consider part time hours to fit in with childcare or just generally to work part of the week and also hybrid working. You will have contact with the clients via phone and email and work relatively autonomously on assignments.
What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking an experienced accounts clerk / senior who has a proven track record of preparing accounts from incomplete records and completing the relevant tax compliance. The firm will consider both formal qualifications such as AAT / ACA / ACCA and also experienced general practitioners who are QBE. Ideally you will live locally to Ellesmere Port however the firm will offer hybrid working between home and the office.
